Transition Meeting
Spring at Oak Hill

Three More Days!

Three more days until Stand Up! for Kids with Autism.

Three more days til this custom trike will go on the silent auction table.

Three More Days to choose your mid-century supper club attire.

Three more days to sell, or buy raffle tickets:

  • A full wine cabinet perhaps?
  • A chance to win a fabulous Squaw Valley Resort trip?
  • Or a cookie jar filled with cash?

Our sponsors are making an elegant supper club gala possible. Insalata's is providing plenty of appetizers.

There will be an amazing array of wines, as well as martinis.

Wines to bid on, to taste, to drink or to gift to those who do if you don't. We'll praise Jennifer and Scott, and laugh with Mark and Taylor. We'll dance with Olive and the Dirty Martinis.

This event makes it possible for us to provide professional development for our staff, arts and technology and transition support for our students, and all the extra tender loving care that Oak Hill provides families and kids throughout the year.

We need you. Whether you can make it to the party, buy or sell raffle tickets, volunteer to help, or send a donation to help pay for our teachers' tickets, please find that place in your heart and your pocketbook to make this year's Stand Up! for Kids with Autism the best event ever.

The Human Race is on May 11th, just two weeks after Stand Up! It may be crazy but the Race is always on Mothers' Day weekend and we're jumping on board. Here's how it works. Please think about joining the fun run/walk, with your dog, your child, your stroller, wheelchair (seriously) whatever, and raise awareness for kids with autism and some Oak Hill funds too.

Here's how:

Go to our Human Race Web Site and click on the Donate Now  button or the Join the Team button at the bottom of the page. Complete the online forms and that's it! Then forward the information to all of your e-mail list and Facebook page and sit back and watch your onlineprofile page grow dollars! Then show up, or not, on the day of the race and join your Oak Hill mates for a 3 mile sprint or stroll around the Marin Civic Center grounds, and a big party after with booths set up by the participating non-profits.

Transition Meeting

On May 16th, a Big Wonderful Transition Dinner Gathering at Il Fornaio will be held. Not a fundraiser, but a dinner invitation for you to be a guest at a gathering of parents to talk about life after Oak Hill and how to prepare for the transitions. Guest speakers will address housing, day programs, employment, and all of your questions. Great food, great information and great company in abundance. The event is once again hosted by Lucie Alexander and there will be no cost.

SPRING WITH OAK HILL SCHOOL

Donovan and Malcolm showed off their angling skills while fishing at Lake Lagunitas recently. They were both successful in catching and releasing a couple of Large Mouth Bass.  Originally scheduled with Michael Breard as a reward for Donovan's hard work and success he is experiencing at the Fresh Start Culinary Academy, Donovan invited Malcolm to join him for a chance to use his new fishing pole.
