WELCOME
Summer's just
a skip or two away - is it almost time for your pet to fly? If getting started with your pet's move is still just a notation on your phone, check out the best, first steps to begin the process in this edition.

Cats and Coffee - does it get much better? We also cat-ch up with the first Cat Caf in the United States, a concept that's been trending in Asia and Europe but just making its North American debut now. And for all of us who choose vacations with our cuddly canines, maximize your family's travels with our round-up of camps and pet-friendly places in New England.

Five Ways to Jumpstart

Your Pet's Summer Move

Our team just hit the ground running, prepping for the many pet moves slated for the summer months.

If you're overwhelmed with the details of your own relocation and wondering how to organize your pet's move, follow these first five steps to get started.

  1. Take accurate measurements of your pet. The first step in the process is to gather details about your pet, including exact height and length (this illustration can help you or click here for our guide). It's very important to measure your pet precisely to make sure the travel carrier is the right size. With larger pets, we may need to arrange for transport on certain aircraft models.     More Steps

First North American Cat Caf Opens for Feline Fans

Last weekend thousands
of people stood patiently
in line for a chance to sip "cat'achino" cappuccinos and visit with specially selected felines at North America's first Cat Caf.

New Yorkers were smitten with the country's only
pop-up coffee shop in Manhattan's East Village where 16 adoptable cats were casually mingling with their feline fans. The Cat Caf concept began in Asia and has since gained popularity in Europe, too. Last weekend's Cat Caf was the first such spot on this continent, although other American cities on the West Coast as well as Canadian locations are "cat-sidering"  their own cafs
.

What do I need to know if my pet is on medication?

Please speak with your veterinarian about any potential risks if your pet requires medication during airline travel. When possible, we can arrange to attach your pet's medication to the travel kennel and ask the airline personnel to administer the medication during an adequate layover.

REUNITED

Everything Is Rosie!

This very sweet black Lab/terrier started her travels in St. Paul, Minnesota, heading by car with her pet parents to Chicago. This playful girl then jetted to London, after a few days delay in the Windy City. It sure can be  overwhelming for a family to make a move across the ocean, but Rosie, now safely snuggling in her new home, is ready to take on London's doggie parks!
