Emily Grossman Joins CPI Staff
CPI is pleased to announce that Emily Grossman has joined our staff effective August 8.
Ms. Grossman has joined CPI's OnTrackNY initiative as a Recovery Specialist and Trainer, providing training and technical assistance to OnTrackNY staff throughout New York State. She will focus on advancing and promoting the message of recovery and respect in OnTrackNY and throughout all CPI's work. Ms. Grossman feels that working for OnTrackNY is the perfect blending of the things about which she is most passionate, namely, mental health recovery, early treatment intervention, and young people. Emily Grossman comes to CPI after working as a Training and Technical Assistance Facilitator for the New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (NYAPRS). In this role, Emily was responsible for providing recovery-oriented, person-centered trainings to mental health providers in New York City and Long Island. Previously, she worked for the Mental Health Association in New Jersey as a Peer Job Coach in a Supported Employment. Ms. Grossman began her career in mental health as a Peer Specialist working in a hospital diversion program at Care Plus New Jersey. Before working in mental health, Ms. Grossman, who has a Master's degree in Education, taught sixth and seventh grade.
