Greetings!

Motivating Clozapine Use: An Aid for Prescribers

A New, Specially Designed Module for Prescribers and Supporters Is Now Available

Have you experienced barriers in prescribing or supporting clozapine use?

Would you like to learn more about clozapine's effectiveness and side effects?

Would you like to learn how to assess which consumers can benefit most from clozapine?

Would you find it useful to see some different ways to engage consumers in deciding whether clozapine is right for them?

Are you interested in earning CME to learn more about clozapine?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, "Motivating Clozapine Use" is for you!

This 45 minute module reviews the evidence for clozapine's effectiveness, the clinical indications for its use and the serious medical risks and more common side effects that consumers may experience. It focuses on how prescribers can discuss these issues with consumers, exploring their values and goals and helping to motivate consumers to evaluate whether trying clozapine is right for them. It includes videos of prescribers in conversation with consumers about some of these issues. .75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM is available for completion of this activity.
