Wellness Self-Management Featured in new National Council Initiative
|
The National Council for Behavioral Health has announced that Wellness Self-Management (WSM) will be one key service provided to consumers in its new initiative "Advancing Standards of Care for People with Bipolar Disorder". A total of ten organizations from across the country will be selected for this initiative, which will begin later this year.
This is the second National Council initiative using WSM. In 2011, "Advancing Standards of Care for People with Schizophrenia" resulted in significant improvements in communication, social interaction, and coping skills of consumers from participating organizations.
