We Tithe as a parish and we need your recommendations
We donate 10% of our collections to worthy causes. We do this as an act of faith, trusting that, in doing this, we will still be able to meet our financial needs.  Please let the Parish Council know about worthy organizations that you would like us to contribute to. Information needed: your name, name of organization you are suggesting, to whom check should be made payable, where to send check and to whose attention.  Please send your suggestions to
Marilyn Tenholder.

Matthew 25
The Matthew 25 Fund helps members in our community who need financial assistance. All information concerning the people with whom we work is held in the strictest confidence. If you would like to contribute to this fund, make your check payable to Matthew 25, and place it in the collection basket. If you need assistance from the fund, contact Peggy Montgomery

Fundraising
Please keep our Schnucks E-Scrip fund raiser in mind when you shop.  If you don't already have an E-Scrip card, please call Marilyn Tenholder (314.323.1467) and she will get one to you. There is no charge and all you have to do is activate it by either a phone call or by going online.  Simply show the card when you check out and a percentage of your purchase cost will be rebated back to Sts. Clare & Francis. Thank you!

Communal Work of Service

Our discernment continues regarding one or more communal works of service, and our next convocation will be on Saturday, April 13, 2013.  If you have not already done so, please identify each specific suggestion from section one of the attached document (file attached) that resonates with you and share this information with Clarence Heller via e-mail marclar123@aol.com, phone 636.256.6515, or in person.

Interim results are as follows: 13 persons responded.  Micro Lending was selected 6 times; Anti-Racism, C.O.P.E., Haiti and Wells were selected 5 times; Anti-Mass Incarceration, Epworth Children and Family Services and Women In Charge were selected 4 times.  All other suggestions were selected fewer than 4 times.

Fair Trade Coffee
April 13, 2013

Fair Trade Coffee Cartoon

Sue will be selling FAIR TRADE coffee and other products (yum--chocolate!) on April 13, the second Saturday of April.  Look for her in the gathering space before and after services on those days.  FYI--we do this to promote market share for cooperative farmers in lands far from here--places where fair competition within the global market needs a little extra boost. Happy Easter--how about trying something NEW?

Yoga

Thanks to all who participated in our winter yoga classes!  We will continue to meet Saturday mornings at the church from 9:00 - 10:30 am through April.

We've discontinued our Thursday evening class.  Beginning in May many of us will begin practicing yoga outdoors in and around the city of St. Louis. If you have interest in these outdoor donations classes contact Jessica or check out the "Outdoor Yoga in and around St. Louis" Facebook page.
