The theme this year is "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Chocolate" and the atmosphere of the evening will surely attract the attention of the chocolate connoisseur. Call for Action
Mortgage Debt Forgiveness
The National Association of REALTORS is urging its members to ask House leaders to schedule a vote on H.R. 2994, ''The Mortgage Forgiveness Tax Relief Act,'' as soon as possible in the ''lame duck'' session of Congress.
This bipartisan legislation would extend an expired provision that has helped millions of distressed American families by allowing tax relief for homeowners when lenders forgive some portion of the mortgage debt they owe.

Officers Attend NAR Conference
The Rockford Area REALTORS Officers, Ken Redeker and Alisa Patterson, and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Bois, recently attended the NAR conferences held in New Orleans. The information obtained during the week long meetings assist the RAR Officers in formulating the direction and goals for the Association for the year 2015. Managing Broker 2015 License Renewal Checklist

2015 and Beyond
The economy is recovering, household wealth is at its highest level ever, and the housing market is improving, but until lenders increase access to credit, sales will continue to underperform and demand will remain pent up. These are the words from the presentation given by NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun at the NAR Conference last week. RPR mobile ™ was approved by Apple, and is now available for download in the App Store. Also noted previously, the Android version is available for download from the Google Play Store. This gives REALTORS a new level of access to the data found in RPR while out in the field. REALTORS using RPR mobile ™ can instantly view the properties around them, and get listing, sales, valuation, assessment, deed, foreclosure and school information. Also available are photos, maps, and market trends data.
