Governor Promises Amtrak Service

The Northern Illinois region received some uplifting news this past week. Governor Pat Quinn announced a $223 million state capital investment that will bring Amtrak service between Rockford and Chicago with stops in Belvidere, Elgin and Huntley, beginning in 2015. Not only does this bring much-needed passenger rail service to our area, it also offers the opportunity of the creation of hundreds of jobs. This should be great news to anyone in the real estate industry and should certainly keep your attention in the up and coming months as this project progresses.
