Science and Invention Fair

Mark your calendars for our annual Science and Invention Convention coming up on January 26th, 27th and 28th (evening).

For the fair, students can choose to do an invention, an experiment, or a demonstration. Please see the Science and Invention packet for grade level specific projects in Kindergarten and First grade.

This year we want to highlight and support the invention side of things which our students have already been exploring through the use of our new Maker Space.

Creative Art for Young Children

Now enrolling for WINTER 2016
Session runs Jan. 13-March 26 (no classes Feb. 10-20)

Winter dreams of penguins in black tuxedos will fill our imaginations
as we begin the session by reading the book "Happy Feet" about a
dancing penguin. The pictures we make with watercolors and collage
will dance too! White dough snowmen, Dragon puppets for Chinese New
Year, Japanese brush painting and mock Japanese Block prints for the
older kids are just a few of the other things we will be doing. Then
Kandinsky and his noisy paint box and the sounds he heard from his
colors. I bet the kids will hear sounds too and maybe their feet will
start dancing. We will end with what has become quite popular...an Art
Show of all the kids masterpieces.
