ORM Turkey Trot
Ormondale Turkey Trot (1K and 5K Run/Walk/Relay)
Sat Nov 15
8:00 - 11:00 am

Registration is now open. Click here to register.

The 1K is an out and back from Ormondale School to Cervantes and back to the school. The 5K is four laps around the Shawnee Pass/Cervantes loop. The 5K Relay is new this year: create a team of four individuals of any age or gender. Run with your best friends, or your family -- any combination of your choosing.

Prizes for the 1K and 5K will be awarded to the top three finishers for each grade and gender. Prizes for the 5K Relay are awarded based on team spirit (hint: wear a costume, funny hats, crazy socks, etc. Have fun!).

Lunchtime training will start Thu Oct 16 and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays during recess. Contact Kari Rust (Tue leader) and Hayley Leinfelder (Thu leader) if you can volunteer from 12:15 - 1:00 pm to help keep track of the number of laps run by the kids.

Questions? Contact Karen Urbanek with event questions.

ORM Book Fair

Many thanks to Sarah Byrne, Caitlin Kortlang and their myriad of volunteers for making the Ormondale Book Fair a success. They gave us lots of opportunities to get to the book fair by staffing it for the entire week! Rumor has it that there were record-breaking book sales! The proceeds from the book fair go to both ORM and CMS libraries, so thanks to everyone who bought books last week.

ORM Bagels and Books Breakfast

Thank you to Brandie Revoy for chairing the Bagels and Books breakfast, which was hosted by the first grade. It wouldn't have been possible without our great volunteers: Paul Cushman, Laura Dahl, Rebecca Dawson, Erika Demas, Renata Dionello, Sarah Dorahy, Kristine Lange, Simone LaValle, Marjel Scheuer, Emilia Schor, Teri Wolf, and John Bamber.

ORM Bike/Walk to School Day... Success!

WOW, once again PVSD students shined for International Bike/Walk to School day on Wednesday with several students biking, walking and riding to school!  In addition, Ormondale expressed support for cleaner air and 'dirtier' shoes by walking TWO days this week. Such an incredible student community we have at PVSD!

A very special thank you to Tiffany Hong, Cathy Brewer, her energetic daughter Ellie, Ed Holland and his enthusiastic son Thomas for handing out special rewards to all our dedicated walkers and riders at Ormondale both days this week!  These volunteers have made this event a greater success!
