Thank You

The Corte Madera PTO would like to give a BIG Thank You to Elise Gabrielson and Kristi Skrabo for chairing the 6, 7, 8, Grade BBQ again this year. The first BBQ of the school year was fantastic and enjoyed by all the kids! It could not have been done without the help of our wonderful 6, 7, 8th grade parent volunteers:  Paul Skrabo, Cathy Carlson, Tiffany Hong, Robin Willard, Tanya Pastushkov, Ann Crevelt, Lynn Holthaus, David Smernoff and Mary Jo Kloezeman. A special thank you to our CMS staff Susan Outland, Cyndi Maijala and Jerry Nickel for making sure everything ran smoothly.

Learn what you can do to reduce your water usage in the midst of our historic drought while supporting our local plant and animal communities. Discover how to live harmoniously with the birds, insects and animals that share our watershed. See examples of our plants and animals, and how the major plant communities are affected by our microclimates and geology. Visit vendors and listen to speakers talk about smart irrigation, rain catchment, leak detection and low water use landscaping.

Summit High School Open House

96% of Summit's 2014 graduates were accepted to a 4 year college.  Summit students graduate from college at twice the national average.  In 2014 US News and World Report named Summit #25 in the US for charter high schools.  In 2013 Newsweek named it as one of the top three high schools in all of California.  Summit was the only high school featured in the movie, "Waiting for Superman."
