Just a couple of reminders for the upcoming AP exams:
DO NOT BRING:
Pencils or pens - you will be provided with both
Books, dictionaries, notes, or compasses
ABSOLUTELY NO CELL PHONES, IPODS, OR OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Last year, several students from other schools were caught with a cell phone. The exams were compromised, voided, and those schools are not allowed to give AP exams. We will be carefully monitoring the exam. PLEASE TURN THEM OFF AND PUT THEM IN A CLEAR PLASTIC BAG WITH YOUR NAME ON IT, AS WE WILL BE COLLECTING THEM BEFORE THE EXAM BEGINS. THEY WILL BE KEPT IN A SAFE PLACE - BETTER YET, LEAVE THEM HOME ON THE DAY OF THE EXAMS.
Do not wear a watch with calculating functions or an alarm.
Water bottles will be allowed again at the tables this year - you may keep them under your table. Please remove the label from the water bottle. Only clear water bottles will be permitted.
WHAT TO BRING:
School ID for identification verification - if you do not have one, you may use your license. No student will be permitted in the testing room without an ID. If you forget your ID at home, please find a teacher who knows you and bring them to the testing room with you. DO NOT BE LATE.
If you are a student from another school, please make sure that you have your six digit School Code.
Please bring a Calculator with the necessary capabilities if you are taking the Calculus AB/BC, Chemistry, Physics, or Statistics exams (graphing/scientific). Double check with your teacher if you are unsure that you have the right calculator. You can also check the College Board website for acceptable calculators. The students taking the AP Biology exam are allowed to bring with them a four-function calculator with a square root function - ONLY
PLEASE PUT NEW BATTERIES IN YOUR CALCULATORS!
You can bring a ruler or straightedge for the Physics exam
SNACK - water, juice, etc. - you will get a 10-minute break in between sections (PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME ON SNACK BAG)
For those students taking an afternoon exam, the cafeteria will be open prior to your scheduled start time. Please let your teachers know that you are taking an afternoon AP exam.
When ready to enter the testing room, please have your ID ready. We will be calling you in alphabetical order. You will then put your turned off cell phones in a box, your snacks on the cart, and your backpacks in a roped off area. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR BACKPACKS ONCE THE EXAM BEGINS - EVEN DURING BREAK. PLEASE REMEMBER TO PUT YOUR SNACK, WATER, ETC. ON THE CART. You will not be allowed to go into your backpacks if you forgot to put your snack on the table.
**When your morning AP exam is finished, you must go back to your regularly scheduled class. If you are taking an afternoon AP exam, please let your teacher know that you will need to be excused at 12:00 noon so that you can eat your lunch before the AP exam.
PLEASE BE PROMPT!!!! IF YOU ARE NOT AT THE TESTING ROOM BY THE START TIME (SEE THE ATTACHED EXAM SCHEDULE), YOU WILL FORFEIT THE EXAM AND WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND.
ONCE THE DOORS ARE CLOSED, YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO THE TESTING ROOMS. NO EXCEPTIONS OR EXCUSES!! DO NOT BANG ON THE DOORS - YOU WILL NEED TO SEE MRS. MARSILIO IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE.

| Grad Nite 2016 - Attention Junior Parents |
WHAT is Grad Nite?
Grad Nite is a safe and sober, all night event for Agoura High School Seniors. It's the perfect capstone to the high school experience, and one last opportunity for Seniors to gather with high school friends & classmates in a safe and sober environment keeping Seniors off the roads.
Grad Nite is planned by the Senior-parent-run Grad Nite Committee.
WHEN is Grad Nite?
Grad Nite is Thursday, June 9, 2016. It begins immediately after the graduation ceremony at Agoura High School. It starts about 8 pm in the gym. Students check in and are transported by bus to a secret location, returning to Agoura High School at approximately 5 am in the morning.
WHY DO WE NEED JUNIOR PARENTS?
First off, IT IS A TRADITION at AHS! This program has been going on for years at AHS and we would love to keep it going. Secondly, the parents of seniors will be attending graduation so we would appreciate the help of Junior parents like yourself. We need help at registration checking in the seniors that have signed up to attend the event. We also need Junior parents to actually attend our event. Those parents go to the site and help set up a few areas prior to the students arriving. No heavy lifting required. Just a lot of fun!
How much time does it take?
You can sign up for a few hours or all night long. It is up to you. Registration is located at the AHS gym. Don't worry about parking. We have made accommodations for that. It starts at 8pm.
