The PFC provides this weekly Student Bulletin as a service to our school community, but we do not generate the contents. ACADEMICS
Do you Like English? Do you want to help others and get community service hours? Come to the English Honors Society interest meeting for the 2016 - 17 school year on Thursday, April 21st at lunch in room K-2. 
 
Are you taking upcoming AP exams or struggling with the college process?

Message from the Media Center: If you are not using your Acers for any of your classes and it is collecting dust in your house, you can return it to the Media Center. Make sure you return your laptop with the case, strap, and both parts of the charger. Your laptop must be returned cleaned and the cases free of any pet hair and/or debris.

This is Career Week: Look in Naviance under College Visits, listen to announcements, and watch for emails to find out who will be here.  Each day at lunch there will be representatives from different career areas to explain how to enter the specific fields students might be interested in.  So far we will have culinary, cosmetology, water science, fire technology, architecture/drafting, multimedia, graphic design/game design, aesthetician, manicuring, surgical technology, respiratory therapy, medical assistant, EMT, welding, US Navy, US Air Force and the Sheriff's Dept.  I am awaiting several more responses, so there should be more!! They will have tables in the quad at lunch.  Please show your appreciation for their efforts by visiting with them and learning about these careers. 

Attention all Incoming 11th grade IB Diploma Program Students:
There is a mandatory meeting for all students pursuing the IB Diploma next year on Thursday April 28th at lunch in room D-4 with IB Program Coordinator Mrs. McClellan.  We will be discussing important information regarding your induction into the program.  See you there!


Curious About Where to go to College?
Want to learn about what your classmates do or don't like about the application process and where they are going to school? Well, there is an answer! Come to a meeting on Friday, April 27th in room A-1 at lunch. This is NOT your average college meeting.
 
ACTIVITIES
Agoura will be celebrating Earth Day this Thursday, April 21st!
Make sure to stop by outside of room K-4 today, April 19th, to paint trash cans and promote the well-being of our planet, Again, this trash can painting opportunity will take place tomorrow outside of room K-4 during lunch.
 
Our Spring Musical Once Upon a Mattress
is Fast Approaching!
Come and support your theatre program and witness this incredible production. The show will run April 26 - April 30, 2016 in the PAEC. Tickets are available on
www.thepaecs.org. Hope to see you there.        
ATHLETICS
There will be a Power Plant BBQ for Track and Field Tomorrow:
Come to the home meet in your Power Plant t-shirt for a free burger, chips and drink. Food is $3 without a Power Plant t-shirt. 10 spirit points will be rewarded for all students in attendance. See you in the stadium.
 
AHS Athletic Physicals and Clearance Days:   Agoura High School Athletic Physicals/Clearances for the 2016-17 school year will be held at Exer Urgent Care in Calabasas on Saturday, May 21 and Saturday, June 4. The cost is $50 per exam and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Agoura High School Athletic Department.  Please see the attached flier for detailed information. 

SENIORS
Senior Activities:
Lists are posted outside of the AAC, in the Media Center and in the Main Quad of what activities seniors have purchased. PLEASE, PLEASE check the lists. You DO NOT want to be left out! May 6th is the deadline to purchase all senior activities as well as any extra graduation tickets. As a reminder, all seniors who take the Senior Survey will receive four complimentary tickets to the Graduation Ceremony.

The Senior Survey
will be available April 25 - May 13, 2016.
All seniors are required to completely fill out the survey. In addition, all seniors who will be attending a two or four year college/university must complete the "Colleges I'm Applying to" section in Naviance (found under the Colleges tab and available now).


Senior Prom will be on May 21st at the Fess Parker Doubletree Hotel in Santa Barbara. Tickets are $90 per person and can be purchased on the webstore through May 6th. In person ticket sales will be in the AAC from April 25th through May 6th. Transportation will be provided for those who are interested.   If you wish to use the school provided transportation, you must make a reservation at the AAC no later than May 6th.  
 
GRADNITE is Almost Here!
If you want to see yourself in the personalized displays at the event, please in your pictures NOW! The pictures can be from anywhere (School, sports, vacations, etc.) or from any year (elementary to high school) as long as there are ONLY SENIORS in the pictures. No family pictures, no group shots with non-seniors.

Please send in 4X6 pictures to the GRADNITE box in the Main Office! (If it is a big group shot, 5X7 or 8X10 pictures are okay.)

Please write your name on the back!

You will not get these pictures back, so make copies!

You can turn in as many as you'd like - the more you submit, the more YOU will be featured at GRADNITE.

Grad Nite Ticket Sales are Still Available:
The cost is $200 and the registration forms are outside of the AAC and on the school website under Activities:GradNite. A list of those who have registered is on wall outside of the AAC. If you have any questions, please see the attached information sheet or email ahsgradnite2016@gmail.com.

 
College Banners and Diploma Frames
are now available for purchase.
A professionally printed banner featuring your child's name and college they plan to attend will be hung on the fencing of the stadium proudly for everyone to see. Plus, if you choose, an AHS personalized diploma frame to keep your diploma in perfect condition! Senior Transcripts:
You will need to order your official final transcript for your college as well as one for NCAA if you are a Division I or II athlete. Final transcripts can be ordered in the Counseling Office between April 25th and June 3rd. The cost is $5 each and must be paid for at the time of your request by check (made out to AHS) or by using PayPal. Payment is required at the time you place your order. Edoc Transcripts will be sent electronically the week of June 13th via Naviance. Paper Transcripts will be ready for pick up beginning June 20th - please remember to bring a photo ID. No transcripts will be given without one a photo ID. . All transcripts must be picked up by June 29th.


ATTENTION ALL SENIORS:YOU ONLY HAVE A FEW WEEKS LEFT TO TURN IN YOUR SERVICE LEARNING HOURS.  THIS IS A GRADUATION REQUIREMENT. THE DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, MAY 6, 2016.  PLEASE TURN YOUR HOURS INTO ROOM C1.
