ACADEMICS
A College Representative from American Jewish University (AJU) will be in the College and Career Center at lunch today.

All Students Interested in Being Part of the Dance II Class for the 2016 - 17 School Year
Please see Mrs. Redmond for information regarding auditions. Auditions are happening now, so be sure you don't miss it!

NEW AP COMPUTER SCIENCE PRINCIPLES COURSE: Computer Science is changing every industry including healthcare, aerospace, music, sports and education. Today, February 17th, there will be an informational meeting during lunch in room L-5 with Mr. Keays and Mr. Hochhaus about a brand new course starting next year, AP Computer Science Principles. They will discuss why every student should learn the power of Computer Science. Come and bring a friend.

Attention Agoura High Students
Interested in Music:
Naviance course selections are just beginning and the AHS music program invites you to discover your hidden musical talents by joining the AHS Choir Program!  Become a part of one of our choirs that will travel to places like New York or Chicago. Start getting involved this year by joining our new a cappella club on Tuesdays at Lunch in room J-2.  All female singers interested in a choir as an elective next year can sign up without an audition for our Women's Choir I course; Mixed Choir II auditions will be held in May.  All male singers may immediately begin talking to Mr. Bloom or Mr. Hackett in the music room during support, nutrition or lunch to be considered for our Mixed Choir II class, or you can send an email to cbloom@lvusd.org

IB Environmental:
This is a reminder for all students requesting IB Environmental next year. Applications, which are available on Ms. Prater's website, are due by this Friday to Ms. Prater or Ms. Elman.


Do you Like Sports?
Would you like to know more about the history of American sports?
Would you like to take a class that is a UC approved elective while studying sports? Then, we have a new class for you! History of American Sports is a new elective we are planning on offering next year. If you want more information, come to room K-4 on Thursday, February 18th at lunch to find out more. Contact Mr. Busby if you have any questions.

Do You Have Amazing Dance talent that you would Like to Share with Your School?
The competitive dance team will be holding tryouts in March. If you are interested in being part of this talented team, come to the information meeting this Thursday, February 18th at 6:30pm in the Faculty Dining Room, located in the "G" Building.

Attention sophomores and juniors! You fought for it, and they listened! The Careers in Education elective has been saved! This class gives you credit for working with local kids at schools like Willow, Sumac, YB, and Lindero!  Choose Careers in Education in Naviance today!

AP Exam Sales are through this Friday, February 19th via the Webstore and at the AAC.  The cost for the AP is $100.00. 

Mid-Term Transcripts:
Seniors that applied to Common Application colleges need to order a mid­year transcript now. If you are not sure if your college needs a transcript, please see your counselor.

PSAT Results:The PSAT test results are in the Counseling Office. Students will need their school I.D. to pick them up.

NAVIANCE COURSE SELECTION
FEBRUARY 12 - FEBRUARY 22nd

Naviance will be open for students to make their course selections for 2016/17 school year from Friday, 2/12 through Tuesday, 2/22. Students will need their Naviance user name and password to access Naviance. If students need assistance getting their passwords or using Naviance, the counselors will be available in C-2 on the following dates:

HOW TO USE NAVIANCE TO MAKE COURSE SELECTIONS:

ˇ         Tuesday, 2/16 - Support & Lunch; C-2

ˇ         Thursday, 2/18 - Support & Lunch; C-2

Course Selections should be made with great care. Schedule changes in the fall will only be made for computer input errors made by staff, an adjustment due to a completed summer school, or a level change request.

COUNSELORS WILL BE MEETING ONE-ON-ONE WITH STUDENTS TO REVIEW THEIR COURSE SELECTIONS DURING THE SCHOOL DAY BEFORE SPRING BREAK.

AHS PARENT DROP IN - THURSDAY, APRIL 7 - MEDIA CENTER This will be an opportunity for parents and students to meet one-on-one with counselors to answer questions about course selections for 2016/17. If you have any questions, please call the counseling office at ext. 246

ACTIVITIES

Do you like sticking people to walls?
Well, now's your chance! Stick your ASB President, Sophia Hartman, and ASB Vice President, Ben Zimmerman to the wall in the Main
Quad during lunch today for $1 per piece of tape. All proceeds will go towards the Pennies for Patients Drive.

Attention All Film Fest Film Makers!
Your films are due to room K-4 by this Friday, February 19th at the end of lunch.
 
Dance Marathon is on Friday, February 19th. Tickets will be sold 2/16 - 2/19 at nutrition in the Main quad. Tickets are $15. Make sure to buy yours so you can get five hours of community service for attending

The much anticipated Agoura High Music Celebrity Jazz Concert
is Saturday, February 20th at 7:00 p.m. in the PAEC. Internationally acclaimed conductor and arranger for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, David Berger, and Legendary Trumpet virtuoso, recording artist and CSULB instructor Ron Stout will perform along with the award winning Agoura High School Jazz Bands and the Calabasas High School Jazz Bands. You won't want to miss this night of incredible jazz! For tickets, please go to

MVP BASEBALL GAME:
Please bring your school spirit and cheer on Agoura's MVP Baseball team as they compete against Agoura High's varsity baseball team, this Friday, the 19th during 6th period. Come out and be a part of this amazing and heartwarming experience.

Club photos of all members are due Friday, February 19th. Get your club featured in the yearbook! Send photos to
Agouraclubs@gmail.com or schedule a time for a yearbook member to come and take the picture for you. You may still purchase a yearbook on the webstore or in the AAC. Prices are $95 w/ASB and $105 without.
SENIORS
A Senior Information Meeting
will take place this Wednesday, February 17 (tonight!), at 8:45am in the gym. Seniors are to report to their 2nd period class for attendance prior to reporting to the gym. Seniors will receive information on graduation, and senior activities and the Senior Panoramic Picture will be taken following the meeting. You MUST attend this meeting to be eligible to participate in senior activities.

SERVICE LEARNING
The Dole Great Race 2016 is a great opportunity to get involved in a fun, community-wide activity. There are many volunteer opportunities (minimum age is 14 unless working with an adult or sibling). Spots fill quickly! Sign up directly at volunteer.greatrace.run.
