Greetings, Charger families!
SAVE THE DATE if you have a future freshman: Agoura High School will present its AHS Showcase on Wednesday, February 10. The evening begins at 5:45pm. Incoming freshman will get a warm welcome, go on campus tours, meet staff and get excited for high school.
Current Juniors are also invited to the G building at 5:45pm that night to learn about what to expect during senior year. More details coming from AHS. Mark your calendars!

AP Test Registration
|
AP Exam Sales will be Tuesday, January 26th through Friday, February 19th via the Webstore and at the AAC. The cost for the AP is $100.00. The cost for the Chinese/Japanese exam is $150.00. CLICK HERE for purchasing instructions. The students and parent are also required to complete the Student/Parent Sign-Off Form before purchasing an AP exam. If you purchase it online, there is a box that must be checked agreeing to the policy and procedures. You must also read the 2015-2016 AP Bulletin AP Bulletin for Students and Parents.

Spring Athletics
|
Parents and students participating in spring sports are invited to an information meeting on February 2 at 6:30p.m. in the PAEC. Spring sports include baseball, softball, track, boys and girls lacrosse, boys and girls swim, boys golf, boys tennis and boys volleyball.

From the Counseling Office
|
Last day to make a schedule change is February 5th. Green change forms can be picked up in the Counseling Office.
A counselor continues to be available to meet with students or families before school at 7am and after school until 4pm.
The College Board has notified schools that they can anticipate receiving PSAT scores on January 30. Announcements will be made for pickup once the score reports are received.
Starting Monday, February 1, the counseling office can no longer accept cash for transcripts. Students wishing to purchase official transcripts must do so through personal check or Paypal. To pay via paypal: 1) Go to agourahighschool.net.
2) Click on offices, registrar, document requests.
3) Click on the word "paypal" in the paragraph description.
4) Fill in the form - in description section, note the number of transcripts you are requesting and in the amount section, write the total cost (# of transcripts x $5).
5) Click on check out OR checkout with paypal. (if you click on check out you can use a credit card to pay for the transcript without a paypal account).
6) Print receipt and bring it in.

There was a glitch in our system, which sent out email overdue notices for textbooks that are year long classes. If you received one of these emails, please disregard it.
The only textbooks that are overdue are ones that are one semester classes. These books do not incur late fines but must be turned in. The price that is shown in the email is the cost to replace the book if lost or damaged. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the Media Center. Thank you.

Your PFC and Kaplan are offering a great ACT prep course beginning in February so register by February 8, 2016. A minimum of 10 students is required to hold classes on campus. Class will be relocated to a local, off-campus location if minimum requirement not met - so tell your friends!
Special Price for AHS Students: $669.00 includes materials (regular Kaplan price $869.00)

Welcome Coach Salem
|
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kamran Salem as the new Head Football Coach at Agoura High School.
Coach Salem brings over 12 years of experience coaching football and teaching math at the high school level. Most recently, Coach Salem has been the Varsity Defensive Coordinator at Thousand Oaks High School from 2011 to 2013 and the Varsity Defensive Line Coach at Westlake High School in 2015. Coach Salem has experience as a strength and conditioning coach as well as multiple years coaching defensive backs, linebackers and special teams. Coach Salem is hardworking, charismatic, and brings a new energy to Agoura High School Football. Coach Salem has a Bachelor's Degree in psychology from California State Long Beach and a Masters Degree in Education. Coach Salem brings many years of high level football experience along with many years of coaching under top notch football coaches from around the area. We are very excited to have hired such a dynamic and experienced coach and look forward to continuing the winning tradition of our football program at Agoura High School. Please join us in welcoming our new head football coach, Kamran Salem.
