2nd Semester Schedule Changes: If students want to change their schedule second semester, "Request for Program Change" forms available in the Counseling Office now. Students will need to meet with teachers prior to dropping a class. All requests for program changes will be made subject to availability and all requests will be time stamped. The deadline to request a schedule change is Friday, February 5th. If you have any questions, please see your counselor.
Students Can Now Order Mid-Year (7th Semester) Transcripts in the Counseling Office.
Attention Students Wishing to Take the 2016 Advanced Placement Exams! You may now register through Friday, February 19, 2016 online via the Webstore or in the AAC. The cost per AP exam is $100. When purchasing online, you must check the box that you have read and agree to the AP Policies and Procedures. If purchasing in the AAC, you must download, sign and return the AP Policies and Procedures form in order to register for an exam. Attention Juniors and Seniors: Don't forget to sign up for the Homer Dickerson Youth Ethics Conference by Thursday, January 28, 2016. You will need to pick up a transportation waiver to be returned no later than February 10, 2016. All information regarding the conference is in the College and Career Center. Don't miss out on this fun and interesting event. The conference is on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 7:00 - 11:00am at Cal Lutheran. This is an "ODD" schedule day.
Message from the Media Center: All students should clear overdue material and fines to the Media Center by today. New material will not be checked out unless all obligations are cleared for the second semester. Make sure your books and computers are covered and protected from any water damage or you will be fully responsible. Textbooks range in cost from $75 to $300.

The AHS Journalism Class will be Having a Poetry Writing Contest: The winner will have their poem featured in the February issue of "The Charger" and receive a $25 gift card to Barnes and Nobel.

Have a Band? Are you interested in being a DJ? There will be a DJ Interest meeting for our annual Dance Marathon event on this Friday, January 29th at lunch in room K-4. Come by if you're interested in helping out at the event.

Congratulations to our January Athletes of the Month:
Hudson Miller is on the Boys Varsity Basketball team and scored 18 points against Westlake to lead the team to a victory. Chloe Montano is on the Girls Varsity Soccer team and leads the team with six goals in five games. Congratulations, Chargers!
Boys Volleyball Tryouts will be this Wednesday, January 27th, from 3:00 - 5:00pm in the gym. Come meet new Coach, Jason Manzatt. Any questions, please go to the AAC.
Boys Lacrosse:
There will be a mandatory parent and player meeting for anyone interested in playing boys lacrosse this spring on January 26th at 7:00pm in toom A-1. All prospective players and parents must attend.
There will be a Swim Team Informational Meeting on Wednesday, January 27th during lunch on the pool deck. Anyone interested in joining this year's swim team must attend this meeting. Please come at the beginning of lunch. The meeting will only be about 10 minutes. Any questions, please see Coach Rosenthal after school on the pool deck.
Track and Field Information:
There will be a meeting for all new and returning parents to meet the coaching staff, learn about athlete requirements and team policies, practice and meet schedules, volunteer opportunities, and more. Join us on Thursday, January 28th at 7:00pm in Room A-1.
