Greetings, Charger families!

It's always busy at AHS, but this Wednesday, October 21 is jammed-packed!

At 9am Wednesday morning, please join us for our monthly PFC meeting at the Agoura Hills Library Community Room. Our AHS counselors will be giving a special report on the college admissions conference they attended over the summer. Also, we have two new counselors working at AHS and they will be on hand to meet parents. For a full agenda and list of committee reports, CLICK HERE.

Later that evening, at 6pm, there will be a scholarship workshop in room A-1, presented by Three Wishes Scholarships. This will help parents and students learn about the process of obtaining scholarships and starting early. Important note: scholarships are not only for straight A students!

Finally, we are excited to support a joint effort of the Agoura and Calabasas High School ASB students as they present a Las Virgenes Unified School Board Candidate Forum. This will be held at 7:15pm in the AHS PAEC and should last about one hour. See below for more info if you'd like to submit a question to the candidates.

Have a great week, and hope to see you, especially on Wednesday!

From the Media Center
Please reiterate with your child the responsibility of having a laptop computer. Students should not leave their laptop unattended and should make sure they place their laptop in a locked locker during gym time. If your student finds a laptop on campus, they should return it to the Media Center.
Measure E Update
As many of you know, Measure E is on the November 3 ballot to extend an existing parcel tax measure that funds critical investments in our schools. Measure E supports core programs in math, science, technology, reading and the arts. In addition, this stable funding allows for class size reduction, textbooks and technology upgrades that help us attract and retain the highest quality teachers.

Measure E merely extends an existing measure. It does not raise tax rates and all funds raised stay local in our school district for our students. The state cannot take it away.

Measure E is on the November 3, 2015 ballot and will require 66.67% to pass.  Attached is a fact sheet on Measure E. Please feel free to contact Debbie Lopez at deborahlopez@yahoo.com with any questions.
