Greetings, Charger families!

Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL MONDAY as it is a Staff Development Day. We hope you enjoy the long weekend, especially after the busy Homecoming festivities!

Also, Wednesday morning is the PSAT exam. It sounds like a simple reminder, but it never hurts to reiterate that students should come prepared. Go to sleep early, eat a healthy breakfast ... and good luck!

School Board Candidate Forum
Agoura High School will be hosting a forum for the School Board candidates in the upcoming November elections.  The forum will take place on Wednesday, October 21st at 7:15 in the PAEC and is expected to last an hour.  Parents and students are are encouraged to attend and will be given the opportunity to pose questions to the three candidates: Mathy Wasserman, Linda Menges, and Gary Mittin.  The student School Board representatives from Agoura and Calabasas will be moderating.  If you would like to request that our moderators ask a specific question, contact Conrad Wahl at conradwahl135@gmail.com.  Please save the date for this important event our students are hosting!

Measure E Update
As many of you know, Measure E is on the November 3 ballot to extend an existing parcel tax measure that funds critical investments in our schools. Measure E supports core programs in math, science, technology, reading and the arts. In addition, this stable funding allows for class size reduction, textbooks and technology upgrades that help us attract and retain the highest quality teachers.

Measure E merely extends an existing measure. It does not raise tax rates and all funds raised stay local in our school district for our students. The state cannot take it away.

Measure E is on the November 3, 2015 ballot and will require 66.67% to pass.  Attached is a fact sheet on Measure E. Please feel free to contact Debbie Lopez at deborahlopez@yahoo.com with any questions.
