Measure E Update
As many of you know, Measure E is on the November 3 ballot to extend an existing parcel tax measure that funds critical investments in our schools. Measure E supports core programs in math, science, technology, reading and the arts. In addition, this stable funding allows for class size reduction, textbooks and technology upgrades that help us attract and retain the highest quality teachers.

Measure E merely extends an existing measure. It does not raise tax rates and all funds raised stay local in our school district for our students. The state cannot take it away.

Measure E is on the November 3, 2015 ballot and will require 66.67% to pass.  Attached is a fact sheet on Measure E. Please feel free to contact Debbie Lopez at deborahlopez@yahoo.com with any questions.
Senior Reminders
SENIOR MEETINGS WITH COUNSELORS ARE GOING ON NOW...students can go to the front page of their Naviance account for instructions on how to sign up - it's quick and easy! These appointments are available for a limited time, so students should sign up asap! If students have questions, they can come to the counseling office for help.

The last day to make a level change is Friday, Oct. 9.

Parents, the counseling office would like you to check with your seniors to make sure they know about these important calendar issues.
From the Media Center
The October 2nd deadline is fast approaching for the Digital Literacy Online Course that your son/daughter must complete. It takes approximately four hours to complete. Please make sure that your child has started the online course and is nearing completion.

If your child has not picked up their laptop from the Media Center, have them bring in their signed parent permission form and the Media Center will issue a laptop.
It's Time for Comedy Sportz
The next Comedy Sportz game of the season is October 2, 2015 at 6:00p.m. in the PAEC. Come and cheer on your very own awesome, award-winning Agoura High Comedy Sportz team. See our marvelous players chalk up points for making you laugh.

You'll have a fantastic time watching this upbeat, fast-paced, high energy, family-friendly show where the audience participates too! And it's affordable for everyone! During intermission, join your favorite team members for pizza and sandwiches that will be sold in the lobby.

Your Used Books = $$$
This bin turns your used books into cash for our school!

Donate your old books, CDs and DVDs wherever you see our big green bins. We'll turn them over to American Book Drive. They'll sell them and turn them into cash, a portion of which will go to The Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools, to buy more books and make our Library Media Centers stronger.

Not a bad trick, don't you think?

Look for our bins at every LVUSD school. For over 200 items, call 877-870-7701 for a pick up or go to AmericanBookDrive.com. To learn more about The Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools, go to TheFoundationLVS.org.
Libraries Without Limits
Working in collaboration with The City of Calabasas Public Library, LVUSD has created an extensive e-book and database collection that is directly available to all students at any of our LVUSD sites. Students DO NOT need a library card to access these materials on site, but will need a City of Calabasas Public Library Card to pull up the materials from their homes. Please take the time to view this site and take advantage of the resources that are available through this partnership between The City of Calabasas Public Library and LVUSD. The site is located at http://galepages.com/calabasas_main/resources.

Click here for additional details about the available materials.
