This is the weekly Student Bulletin for August 25, 2015. The PFC provides the Student Bulletin as a service to our school community, but we do not generate the contents. All questions regarding the announcements below should be directed to Janice Cohen, the Activity and Athletic Secretary. She can be reached via email  or by phone at

ACADEMICS

Attention all ROP/Work Experience Students!
You will be getting your ROP Stickers in your ROP class on Wednesday, August 26th. Please have your schedule of classes with you so that you can get off campus until you receive your ROP sticker.

Attention Pre-IB and IB Full Diploma Students: There will be a Mandatory IB Boot Camp for all Pre-IB students pursuing the Full Diploma, as well as current IB full diploma students. Important IB Program info will be discussed.
IB Boot Camp will be held in A-1 at support.
The schedule is as follows:


Juniors-Tuesday, 8/25

Sophomores-Wednesday, 8/26

Freshmen-Thursday, 8/27


Message from the Media Center:
Make sure you cover all of your textbooks. Please look over your books and report any damages that are beyond normal wear within the next two weeks. Textbooks range in value from $50 to $300 each, so please make sure you take good care of them. You are responsible for the textbooks you check out so make sure you notate the barcode number you checked out so that you know that is your book.


Reminder Binders still available: 
They may be purchased in the Main Office for $15 in cash or checks made payable to
AHS PFC.


Attention Seniors!
There will be a college-application boot camp on campus on August 29th and 30th. Go to dannyruderman.com to sign up. A portion of admission costs will go to the senior class.

ACTIVITIES
Attention Freshmen!
Are you looking to get involved and make great changes on campus? If so, Student Council may be for you. Come to the interest meeting today, August 25th, at lunch in room K-4 to find out more.


Do you want to compete in Battle of the Bands? Come to the interest meeting on Wednesday, August 26th at lunch in room A-1. If you want to host the show you MUST come to the meeting!

Attention all Sophomores!
Come to the first steering committee of the year. It is at lunch this Thursday, August 27th in room V105.


Attention All Drivers!
Enter for a chance to win a Hotspot parking place. Tickets will be available this Friday at nutrition in the Quad for $1 each.


Interested In Starting a New Club  
or an Old One?
Come to the Club Presidents Interest Meeting on Friday, August 28th in room A-1 at lunch. Come learn how to turn in club constitutions to begin your club adventures. Please contact agouraclubs@gmail.com with any questions.

Do you Want to Donate Blood?
The first blood drive of the year is on Tuesday, September 1st. If you want to participate, fill out a form in room K-4. Don't wait...they are due this Friday, August 28th.

ATHLETICS
Boys Tennis Interest Meeting:
Are you interested in being a part of the Boys Tennis Team. If so, there is a mandatory interest meeting today, Tuesday, August 25th during lunch in Coach Correia's room, D-11. The meeting will include important information about 6th period PE and the upcoming tryouts. Be there!

Boys Tennis Tryouts  
This is for 6th Period PE and will be held on 
Wednesday, August 26th and Thursday, August 27th. For more information, please visit the "Tennis Page" at agouraathletics.com.

Boys Soccer Tryouts
They will be held this week, August 24th-28th from 3:00 - 5:00pm in the AHS Stadium.


Attention Girls!
The AHS swim and water polo teams are looking for new team members. If you are interested in joining this year's girls water polo or swim team, please see Coach Rosenthal on the pool deck this Thursday, August 27th, at lunch time.
