Here's to a healthy
holiday season!

We know what you're thinking....this holiday season you want to take it s-l-o-w.  You are committed to better eating habits.  The problem...it's all so tempting! Many traditional holiday foods are high in sugar, fat and salt.  Here are a few suggestions for staying focused during this time of year:

When cooking for a crowd:

Try featuring seasonal veggies (like squash, root veggies and greens) and always serve a green salad and dishes with healthy grains.  Who knows, your crowd might be feeling the same way you are and appreciate the healthy options!

When you're at a party:

You don't have real control here, but try eating a healthy snack or a small meal beforehand - you might find you'll make more sensible choices. And, don't forget to think about portion sizes - its easy to get carried away!  Remember, less is more!

If you're bringing a dish to a gathering:

Check out our plethora of healthy eating recipes and bring one along or grab a ready-made side dish, appetizer or main dish from our store!  Just look for the Health Starts Here logo or ask a team member!   This way you'll know you'll have at least one healthy option to dive into!
