December 2013
A Season of Gratitude
First, thank you immensely for the response to last month's column, The Color of Pumpkins. It moved me that so many of you were affected positively by that client's words.

Building on the gratitude theme this month, reflect on the important people in your life, taking time to share your energy with those that want to share their energy with you. A good friend of mine consistently says,

"it's all about relationships." It's so true.

This month particularly, choose to be mindful of the giving and receiving it takes to create good healthy relationships and put your energy there. It's always a win win. It's also what you'll remember most.

I wish you a beautiful holiday season.

 Jill

Please Help Hope Floats Healing & Wellness Center Support Our Community

4 Elm Street ~ Kingston MA

A Note from Hope Floats: Five years ago, we first opened our doors to support people experiencing loss, offering a comfortable setting to help ease their isolation and pain. We founded Hope Floats Healing & Wellness Center on the premise that one's journey through grief and other life crises can be eased by sharing with others who have similar experiences. Since then, more than 3,000 families and individuals have joined our support groups, workshops, and wellness classes, often with our dedicated network of practitioners. We know these services make a profound difference in people's lives. We often hear from people how thankful they are to find healing and restoration at Hope Floats. We need your help to sustain and grow these services. Please consider joining the Friends of Hope Floats by making a donation to our nonprofit foundation. Doing so helps us provide free bereavement and wellness services, and support grants for those facing financial stress.

Approaching the holidays, as our connections with loved ones both present and missed resonate so deeply, we hope you will continue to think of those who turn to Hope Floats for support. This fall, our outreach includes hosting seven adult support groups, an all-day retreat for moms who have lost children, monthly Healing Circles, and the Three Little Birds group for bereaved teens.

Note from Jill:
Great read with your middle schoolers about a young girls experience during World War 2. Indirectly teaches kids to be grateful for all they have.
