As our kids head back to school and as we enter a new season, consider this affirmation from our Planting the Seeds line of self- esteem building tools.
Have your child focus on this statement daily during September, perhaps prior to starting the day, and discuss what it takes to be successful. Create dialogue with your child around being on time, eating right, sleeping enough, getting organized and focusing only on what they need to do one day at a time so as not to create anxiety for themselves. By stating affirmations you are able to overcome negative thoughts and feelings by focusing on positive, empowering ones.
For adults, ask yourself what it means to be successful. What do you want to accomplish in 24 hours? What do you want to feel at the close of the day?
Begin the day by focusing your thoughts and feelings on where you want them to go. Then, enjoy watching them manifest. That's the power of affirmations. You are creating what you want to have by the way YOU CHOOSE to think and feel.
Happy September!
