When planning what you want to accomplish this year, you may want to contemplate less about external goals and more about how it is you want to feel. Create the space to inspire you when reflecting on these resolutions. It may be going on a good walk or run in the fresh air, or in front of the fireplace with a cup of tea and journal in hand. Once you are in your space, review the main goals you achieved last year, what you may need to carry into this year, and what you already feel good about. Once you have emptied yourself, list how you want to feel each day during 2013 and what it is you need to do in order to achieve that.
You may wish to be open to new friendships and making yourself available. Consider asking a friend to lunch or tea each week and make it part of your schedule.
You may crave eating or drinking in alignment with who you truly are. Consider asking your highest self, would that person eat/drink what you are about to consume?
You may be ready to be more even keeled and consistent in your moods on a day to day basis. Consider taking time for yourself each morning to set the tone for the day. Consider arriving for appointments 10-15 early so that you are never chaotic or stressed.
Whatever YOUR desires are, know this: what you truly want is within your reach, and what keeps you from it is fear.
Check in with your thoughts when you are about to make a choice- if your brain is conditioned to having the same thoughts over and over, and those thoughts are ultimately rooted in fear, (No one wants to spend time with me, I'll never master portion control, I'll never be balanced in my emotions, it's part of my ancestry, etc. etc. etc.) teach your brain something new!
Disengage from the fearful thought by putting a new thoughts in its place and over time, your thoughts will change.
Try it on for size and as the months roll forward, you may discover a whole new you in front of the mirror- all because of how you chose to work with your brain.
Happy January, Happy 2013!

Reiki Level One Certification with Sheree Asdot
What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.* *From the International Center for Reiki Training
In Reiki First Degree you learn about and are attuned to the ancient energy healing; Reiki. With the Reiki attunement you will have the ability to channel Reiki.
