The Partnership recognizes the important role the outdoors plays in community and economic development. Initiatives like Roanoke Outside, Blue Ridge Marathon, and GO Outside Festival are just a few of the ways the Partnership is making the Roanoke Region a better place to live and work.

It takes 350 volunteers to roll out the red carpet for the April 20 running of America's Toughest Road Marathon (Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon). Grab your friends and get involved.
The River Rock climbing gym is giving Roanoke Outside fans a chance to win a 5-day punch pass ($70 value) to the new climbing gym inside The River House on Wasena Avenue.

The free, four-day event includes a variety of bike rides and films to honor well-known Roanoke cyclist David Kilmer who is battling cancer.
The free event kicks off with a Three Peaks Ride on April 4 and includes a different ride and film screening each day, with the event concluding with a fundraising event and auction on April 7. Each of the Gonna Crush It! events are free and open to the public.
Come out and support the Kilmer family and area bikers. There's something for everyone, whether you ride or not.
