Every drop counts!

Food for Thought

Farmworkers feed the world. Did you know that 85% of our fruits and vegetables are handpicked? In honor of National Farmworker Awareness Week, we suggest reading The Lexicon of Sustainability's comprehensive article on  Farm Labor, as well as the Student/Farmworker Alliance and the Student Action with Farmworker's website. We are grateful for the long hours, backbreaking labor, and steadfast determination that farm workers contribute for our nourishment and well-being all over the world. If you ate today, thank a farmworker!
