"Winter, a lingering season, is a time to gather golden memories, embark upon a sentimental journey, and enjoy every idle hour."
- John Boswell

Gather golden memories as you drink to your health with our new fresh organic turmeric root, now available in our Produce section. Herbin' Acres, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, cultivates American Turmeric, which is slightly different than the Asian Turmeric variety (like American vs. Chinese Ginseng). American Turmeric is bright, nearly glowing, all the way through, and lacks the brown ginger-root exterior typical of fresh turmeric from Peru or Hawaii. Try it out with this recipe for fresh turmeric juice from the growers themselves!

We are proud to be listed in the 2014 Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA)'s "Good Gifts Guide", which lists a range of local and sustainable retailers, producers, and farmers to support throughout the holidays. Handmade for the Holidays
Andes Gifts

At present, hundreds of Aymara and Quechua women are busy knitting the items which we are proud to sell year after year as one of Harvest Market's most popular holiday gift items. Andes Gifts' handmade and Fair Trade knitwear will keep you warm and happy, while benefiting the people of the Andes Mountains, who are paid fairly for their labor. As a company, Andes Gifts makes a real impact on rural indigenous communities, while providing technical training and micro loans.
Zum Indigo

The sense of smell is closely tied to memories and pleasant emotions. Evoke the scents of the season with winter-themed gifts from Zum. Festive candles, soaps, room mists, and even ornaments are available in Mints, Pine and Spruce, warm spices and more. Gift sets of a trio of Frankincense and Myhrr items let you give in wise-style. Mini soaps and yummy lip balms make great stocking-stuffers, and celebrate with a cheery Almond-Orange Chanukah candle or soap.
All seasonal Zum merchandise is 15% off!

Alaffia Baskets

Alaffia baskets are certified fair trade and contribute to economic and gender equality. These baskets are traditionally used to carry meals and produce. They are strong, durable and versatile because they are hand woven from wild harvested Savannah grass. By receiving a fair value for this indigenous resource, families are able to support themselves and empower their communities. Traditional and Mini Market sizes are available and make the perfect gift basket or shopping bag.
