Hello friends! We don't often send out special edition news. Those new to our newsletter need not fear your inbox filling up- something has to be really special to warrant an email besides our regular bi-monthly newsletter. This week there is a great opportunity to make our voices heard and protect our bodies from serious toxins.
THIS upcoming Tuesday morning, local non-profit Delawareans for Social and Economic Justice is sponsoring a bus trip to Washington, DC to rally with www.SaferChemicals.org. Can you join us? These watchdogs want the killer chemicals out of baby bottles, dish soap, clothing, and myriad other household products. (Ever choked on the smell in a dollar store? That stuff. BPA and other insidious fertility/hormone and endocrine disruptors hurt people much worse than a salmonella outbreak, without any regulation.)
The bus trip is only $5 and includes snacks from Harvest Market. There will be a rally with the press and meetings with our members of Congress, then a few free hours before the ride home. This is a great way to make your voice heard feel empowered by likeminded others. If you've never visited Washington on official business, it's the most uplifting experience, and DC is beautiful this time of year.
Here is the official invite and press release:
