The time has come to start planning for next year! We will be in need of more Rockwell parents to chair or co-chair positions on both the PTA Board as well as committees and special events for next year. Please be thinking about the ways you can help our school and keep an eye out for a more detailed announcement coming soon.

In the meantime, if you can be a part of our Nominating Committee (helping us find great people), please email Rockwell PTA's President Cari Scotkin at

Parents:  With the weather getting nicer, we are looking for more supplies for recess fun.  If you have extra jump ropes, balls, sidewalk chalk, sketch pads and pencils, loom bands etc, please send the donation to your child's teacher with a note that it's for the Recess Collection or bring in to the collection box in the office.

It's almost here!! The Spelling Bee club will be holding the Final Rockwell School Spelling Bee competition on Saturday, Feb. 21st, at 9am in the school library.

All parents, teachers and staff are cordially invited to attend and help cheer on these courageous and bright students!

We have 28 students from grades 1-5 competing for the title of Rockwell Spelling Champion. The competition will begin at 9am and end at approximately 1pm followed by an Awards Ceremony at 2pm.

Key upcoming dates:

  • Thurs. Feb 19th, 3-4:15pm: LAST Spelling Bee Club session for all final bee spellers to review rules and practice mock bee
  • Sat. Feb 21st, 9am-1pm: FINAL SCHOOL SPELLING BEE, check in at 8:45am please!
  • Sat (Feb 21st) at 2pm: Award Ceremony

Please contact for any questions and we hope to see you there!
