Volume 15 Issue 3
Greetings!

The school year is well underway, and now everyone's to-do list is overflowing. TICAL is here to help with carefully selected resources and professional learning opportunities for administrators, by administrators. In this issue of New at TICAL, we highlight digital citizenship resources, upcoming free webinars, and two great face-to-face events: the Leadership 3.0 Symposium and TICAL's annual conference in Little Rock.

You'll also find some teasers to the latest posts in TICAL's blog written by members of the TICAL cadre and invited guests, as well as the latest episode of Radio TICAL on preparing tomorrow's teachers.

We hope you find these resources useful in your leadership work!

Technology Policies: Shift Your Paradigm

Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM PST

With technology changing faster than fashion, it is prudent that you review your district's process policies in light of advances in technology. From hiring practices to evaluation, records retention to academic integrity, policies across all areas of district operation should consider technological implications. Plan ahead and save the date for this informative program provided by members of the eMatters Practice Group at Fagen Friedman & Fulfrost.

Check out the recordings of September's webinars:

And the good news? These webinars are free.

Digital Chalkboard Debuts

Remember the Brokers of Expertise project? It's been given a major face lift and functional overhaul and has been reborn as the Digital Chalkboard.

The goal is to make the site the place "where California educators get connected, collaborate, and share the best practices, best resources, best strategies - you might say the best of the best."

The site is in BETA and your feedback is not only welcome but desired in order to make sure the site serves a true need and serves it well.

Arkansas11th Annual TICAL Conference

You needn't be an Arkansan to attend TICAL's annual conference in Little Rock. Arkansas is a beautiful, hospitable state. Combine your professional learning with a visit to one of Arkansas's beautiful state parks, explore the Clinton Presidential Center, or visit Little Rock Central High School and learn about the role it played in the desegregation of our public schools.

The TICAL conference offers practical presentations, great workshops, and inspiring speakers. It's co-produced by the Arkansas Department of Education and the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators.

Plan ahead to attend the 8th annual Leadership 3.0 Symposium, to be held this year in Redondo Beach, California.  In fact, don't just attend, present!
