What to work on this week...
|

Golf season has officially arrived to all of our clients and to all courses across North America. Now that you are immersed in 'full on' day-to-day operations time is at a premium. So what can you do in an hour or less this week to keep your internet marketing efforts rolling along?
In 2014 mobile internet usage exceeded PC internet usage for the first time in history (from searchenginewatch website). It is very likely that more than half of your customers are searching for your golf course or for a place to play in your region on a mobile device. Make sure your website does not 'turn-off' your customers. 1. View your website on a phone and on a tablet. 2. You should be able to access all menus and content without have to make strange flicking motions and/or squinting like crazy. 3. Make sure your Contact Us info is easy to find. The layout of your mobile site might not be exactly the same as your website. You may need to ask your website designer to make an adjustment. 4. If your website is not mobile enhanced check your google analytics to see how many visitors come to your site on a mobile device. If it is higher than 20% fix this NOW. If it is lower than 20% you could wait until the end of the season, but the sooner the better.

Hashtag 101
|
Hashtags are old news for some, while others are just learning how to use them to join conversations that are meaningful to their business. When used and followed strategically, hashtags can help make your business a part of the community and can introduce you to prospective customers.
For those that use hashtags regularly and have seen examples of hashtag overuse this video is always a good laugh.

Social Media in the World
|
Have you seen a new button appear at the top of your Facebook Feed? On April 28th Facebook added a "Donate Now" button in a very prominent piece of Facebook real estate to help relief efforts in Nepal. Donations go to the International Medical Corps and Facebook announced it will match the first $2 million donated. In just two days more than half a million users have donated more than $10 million dollars.
