Babson Recognized As a Top Undergraduate College by The Princeton Review
|
Babson is featured in the new 2016 edition of The Princeton Review's annual college guide, The Best 380 Colleges. The guide also cites Babson as the No. 1 Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program as recognized by The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur in their September 2014 rankings, and lists Babson as one of the 20 best-run colleges in the United States. Babson Alumnus Named a Finalist for 2015 Peace First Prize
|
Daquan Oliver '14, founder and president of Recesspreneurs, has been recognized for using Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® to empower children from low-income environments. The Peace First Prize honors youth peacemakers for their "compassion, courage and ability to create collaborative change." Oliver created the curriculum for Recesspreneurs as an undergraduate, with help from his professors. Read more »

Babson Teams Up with the White House to Help Women in Business
|
Babson has joined more than 45 business schools in committing to a set of best practices that offer concrete strategies for business schools to help women succeed throughout school and in their careers. The partnership, convening at the White House, was announced on August 5 and will focus on opportunities for the business community and business schools to work together in its goal. Read more »

Babson Earns an A from Standard & Poor's, A3 from Moody's
|
Babson received bond rating upgrades from Standard & Poor's Ratings Services (S&P) and Moody's Investors Service. S&P upgraded Babson's rating to A from A-. Reasons for this upgrade include:
- Strong demand profile with a broad undergraduate geographical student draw and high-quality students
- Conservative management team maintaining solid levels of expendable resources compared to operating expenses and debt
- Commitment to managing costs
- Goal achieved of balancing the operating budget on a full accrual basis with positive results for the past three years

| After renovations this summer, Park Manor South is ready to house 70 incoming students starting at Orientation this month. Is Entrepreneurship Addictive?
| New research suggests that at a physiological level, serial entrepreneurs can experience the same behaviors as an addict. These can include feelings of euphoria or desperation, sensations like increased heart rate and sleeplessness, and emotional feelings of intense focus or the joy of being swept up in the moment.
