Babson Ranked No. 1 Graduate Entrepreneurship Program in the World
|
Babson is the top graduate program for entrepreneurship in the world, according to the 2015 Financial Times Global MBA rankings. Babson is ranked No. 1 in entrepreneurship, ahead of Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, and Oxford. In the overall full-time MBA program evaluation, Babson is ranked 38 among U.S. schools and jumped to 73 in the global listing. Read more »

Babson and Cabot Creamery Recognize Community Celebrities

The Cabot Community Celebrity Award program honors the achievements and contributions of volunteers who serve others with little thought or regard for personal recognition. Cabot will select a Babson graduate who is making an impact on his or her community through personal efforts and/or the graduate's business. This honoree and a guest will receive an all-expenses-paid Caribbean cruise, airfare included, onboard Celebrity Cruises® Summit, set to sail in November 2015. Babson Professor and Alumnus Launch Interactive Entrepreneurship Education Game

Neck and alumnus Anton Yakushin '08 have launched an educational tech company called VentureBlocks, created to serve as a new and innovative resource for higher entrepreneurial education. The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship is excited to include alumni businesses in our B.E.T.A competition for the third year. Participants in the competition's alumni track are eligible for the grand prize of $20,000 in cash, plus services in kind donations from corporate sponsors. New Report Shows Entrepreneurship Rebounding Globally in 2014
| The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report finds optimism, ambition rising in Africa, declining in Europe; North America innovates, generates jobs; youth entrepreneurship expands globally. High levels of entrepreneurial optimism, ambition, and innovation are vital to advancing economies, according to The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor 2014 Global Report, which also found that entrepreneurship worldwide has recovered from the Great Recession. The winter postseason is upon us, and both men's and women's basketball as well as men's ice hockey are in the midst of their conference tournaments. Men's basketball, which is ranked sixth in the country and off to its best start in program history with a 23-2 record, captured the NEWMAC regular-season championship and will host NEWMAC Tournament semifinal and final rounds this weekend for the first time. Ranked 11th and 13th nationally in two separate polls, 18-5-3 men's ice hockey travels to UMass-Boston on Saturday at 4 p.m. for an ECAC East Tournament semifinal round meeting. Women's basketball hosted WPI in the opening round of the NEWMAC Tournament last night; the winner advances to Springfield on Saturday for the semifinal round. Learn more »

New Study Shows Distance Education Enrollment Growth Slowing
|
The 2014 Survey of Online Learning conducted by the Babson Survey Research Group, and co-sponsored by the Online Learning Consortium (OLC), Pearson, and Tyton Partners, reveals the number of higher education students taking at least one distance education course in 2014 is up 3.7 percent from the previous year. While this represents the slowest rate of increase in more than a decade, online enrollment growth far exceeded that of overall higher education. Read more »
