The new First-Year residence hall and Schlesinger Innovation Center will transform the residential living and learning experience on campus. This new building, located between the Park Manor residence halls on one side and Luksic Hall and the Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at the other side, will create a consolidated district for first-year students in the heart of Babson's campus. Tory Burch Fashion mogul and Babson Honorary Degree recipient Tory Burch has personal experience pitching family and friends for funding to start her business. Not everyone said yes, but for those who did, the investment paid off. The company turned a profit after just two years and was recently valued at nearly $4 billion. Babson Magazine: Making Waves on the Beach

Astrid Pedregal '07 loves sunshine and warm temperatures, so much so that the Venezuelan native moved to Miami after graduating from Babson. She and her sister created a luxury swimwear brand for men, and she says the toughest part is the uncertainty that comes with any startup. "We constantly have to make decisions based on assumptions," she says. "Sometimes we're right, sometimes we're wrong. The key is to celebrate when we're right and not lose the enthusiasm when we're wrong." Read more »

Get Involved! Mentor Students in CLTP 

The Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program (CLTP) is a unique program in which students participate during their first year and again as a junior/senior. Our coaches are Babson alumni, experienced MBA students, business leaders, and entrepreneurs! Develop your professional connections, while advising students, too! Thursday, October 23, is fourth annual Babson Food Day. Of particular interest may be the Quick Service Incubator from 2-3:30 p.m. Select entrepreneurs each get two minutes to pitch challenges to the audience for fresh ideas and resources.
