Executive Education Tops Bloomberg Rankings

In the Bloomberg Businessweek 2013 biannual rankings, Babson Executive and Enterprise Education (BEEE) is ranked No. 11 in the world and No. 5 in the U.S. for its Custom Programs. BEEE also went from unranked in 2011 to No. 17 in the world and No. 11 in the U.S. for its Open Enrollment Programs.
Babson Ranked Among Top Part-time MBA Programs
Bloomberg Businessweek recognized Babson as the No. 5 part-time MBA program in the Northeast, ahead of Boston University at No. 6. Nationally, Babson is ranked No. 34. Within this ranking, recent graduates also gave Babson a grade of A+ for teaching quality and a grade of A+ for curriculum.
    

Forbes features 18 China Startup Business Ideas from Students

Eighteen current MBA students were recently in Shanghai, meeting foreign and local companies and learning about their business landscape. Each student was asked to share his or her best idea for a startup company that would succeed in China.
  

Alum Make Boston Globe Magazine's Top Women-Led Business List

The Globe Magazine and The Commonwealth Institute partnered to create a list of female-run, for-profit companies with the biggest revenue in 2012. Four Babson alumni were named, and two received honorable mentions.

Hanging in the Balance with Sophia Chang 
Sophia Chang at Babson
During the early years of her career, fashion and music industry veteran Sophia Chang emphasized maintaining balance between going with her gut and being guided by her head. "I come from an academic family and tend to overthink and overanalyze," she said. "In terms of my career, I wish I'd trusted my instincts more and been more fearless ... it's critical to listen to instinct, and it's often right."
 
What You Missed: Rocket Pitch 2013
Rocket Pitch's unique, fast-paced format generated plenty of excitement on the Babson campus on October 31. Thank you to the 10 alumni who participated in this annual event hosted by the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship. Alumni and students pitched their ideas to an audience of more than 500 investors, service providers, entrepreneurs, faculty, and students.
