U.S. Entrepreneurship Rates Soar |
U.S. entrepreneurship rates climbed to the highest level in more than a decade according to the 2012 Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) U.S. Report issued by Babson College and Baruch College. In 2012, the average Total Early-Stage Entrepreneurial Activity rate (TEA) increased to nearly 13 percent, an all-time high since GEM first began tracking entrepreneurship rates in 1999. Startups Supported in 2013 Summer Hatcheries |
As part of the John E. and Alice L. Butler Venture Accelerator Program, the hatcheries provide a vibrant atmosphere conducive to sharing ideas and information between undergraduate and graduate student teams, faculty, executives-in-residence, and visiting entrepreneurs.

Alumni and Community Assist Rwanda's Byimana School Of Sciences |
On April 23rd, a fire broke out at a Byimana School of Sciences dormitory in Rwanda, a partner to the Babson-Rwanda Entrepreneurship Center (BREC). The Babson alumni and community aided the school and the 300 students who lost all their belongings in their recovery.
