Hadley Band News

trumpet.jpg The Hadley Symphonic Band participated in a 4-hour rehearsal workshop opportunity with Dr. Peter Griffin of Elmhurst College. Dr. Griffin has been a guest conductor for this Hadley event for the past several years. This clinic experience was held on Wednesday, February 24 at Hadley. The clinic helped students prepare for their performances at the district and state musical festivals in March and April 2016. Click Here to read more about Dr.Griffin.

The Hadley Symphonic Band will perform at the Illinois Grade School Music Association District Festival on Saturday, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. The ensemble, comprised of 7th and 8th graders, will perform in front of a panel of professional music education adjudicators to receive commentary and constructive feedback. The ensemble will perform the following repertoire: Cincinnatus by H.A. VanderCook/Mark Grauer, Ammerland by Jacob De Haan, and American Riversongs by Pierre La Plante.
