Board of Education Meeting 

The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. This meeting will be held at Abraham Lincoln School in the newly renovated Library Media Center located at 380 Greenfield Avenue in Glen Ellyn. We will not have a Finance Committee meeting.

Robert Crown Center - Parent Information Session

All District 41 parents of 5th grade students are invited to an information session (no children, please) presented by Robert Crown Center representatives in preparation for the November 6 Robert Crown school visits. The "Michael" and "Linda" puberty programs will be discussed and explained. The parent information session is Tuesday, September 29 at 7 p.m. at Hadley Junior High School, 240 Hawthorne Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

Forest Glen and Churchill Classroom Ribbon Cuttings

All are invited to attend ribbon cutting ceremonies, presented by the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce, to celebrate the four new classrooms at both Churchill and Forest Glen on Saturday, October 3, 2015. The four classrooms at each school were built to replace remaining portable classrooms. Four more classrooms are being built at Churchill School to replace the final portables at the district's elementary schools. At this time next year, all portables at the elementary schools will be gone and replaced by new classrooms. The final four classrooms will open Summer 2016.

Glenbard West Homecoming Festivities 

Glenbard West Homecoming is next weekend, October 2 and 3. All District 41 families are welcome to participate. Events are open to the public. To start off the festivities there will be a pep rally at Biester Fieldhouse at 6 p.m. on Friday night immediately followed by a bonfire at Duchon Field.

On Saturday morning, the Glenbard West Booster's Pancake Breakfast will be held in the cafeteria from 7 to 11:30 a.m., $6/person. The homecoming parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Main Street, starting at Forest Glen Elementary School and ending at Glenbard West High School. The sophomore football game will be played at 11:15 a.m. on Duchon Field followed by the Varsity team playing at 1:30 p.m.

All District 41 students move on to Glenbard West High School. We are very proud of all of our current District 41 West students and graduates!
