PARCC Assessment Test

There is a lot of information in the news media right now about the new PARCC assessment, "Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers." This spring, District 41 students will be taking this new assessment test in grades 3-8. PARCC's intent is to measure a student's knowledge and understanding of the Common Core State Standards, which were written for English and math. As a district, we have been working to implement the Common Core Standards for the past few years. For more information about PARCC specific to District 41, please go to the District 41 website, CLICK HERE.

Community Listening Sessions - Facilities Plans

District 41 and the Board of Education want to know how the community feels about proposed facility plans to support 21st Century Learning and adding full-day kindergarten (Note: half-day kindergarten option would still be available). Three facilities options for consideration are:
1) Modification to existing buildings
2) Building a new K-5 school
3) Building a new Early Learning Center for PreK-K.
