MESSAGE FROM BOARD OF EDUCATION PRESIDENT

When I went to school, kids with special needs were not always provided a public education. Fortunately, we have come a long way from that mindset. When I ran for the Glen Ellyn School District 41 Board of Education, one of my platforms was to support the special education programs in the district. As a community, we should be proud of the commitment of the Parents, Administration, and Board to ensure the best possible education for all of our students.

Recently, we hired a new Director of Student Services, Michelle Gallo. Today, Monday, September 22, Michelle will be presenting an overview of special education during our regularly scheduled School Board meeting. I would like you to join us. All parents and community members would benefit from and appreciate the presentation.

The meeting will be held at the District 41 Central Services Office, 793 North Main Street, and starts at 7:30 p.m. The presentation will likely start at 7:45 and conclude by 8:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome.  I hope you will attend.

John Kenwood

President

Glen Ellyn School District 41 Board of Education
