As you may have seen in the news, there is a new virus hitting the Midwest. To help protect yourself and others from the circulating virus also known as enterovirus EV-D68 infections, the Illinois Department of Public Health suggests that the public:

• Wash your hands often with soap and water

• Avoid close contact (touching and shaking hands) with people who are sick

• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces

• Stay home when sick
