On May 31 and June 1, a fertilizer and weed control agent will be applied to the grassy areas on the grounds of District 41 schools. The material will not be applied to playgrounds, walkways or parking lots. This is part of the annual routine and is similar to the applications many homeowners make to their lawns at this time of year. The water-soluble chemical will be applied in a liquid form and areas affected will be flagged after the application is completed. The application is being done over the weekend so as not to interfere with outdoor school activities. Material Data Sheets containing complete product information are available at the Central Services Office located at 793 N. Main St.
