ELEMENTARY PTA MEETINGS TO HOST FACILITY SESSIONS
The January elementary PTA meetings will each feature a segment on the elementary addition proposal that is now out for bid so that parents may learn more about the plans for their particular school. Superintendent Dr. Paul Gordon and Assistant Superintendent Bob Ciserella will be on hand to provide a short presentation and to answer questions. The basic plan for four 900-sq. ft. classrooms is consistent across the four elementary schools, with some variations due to the needs specific to each school. The BOE is expected to take action on the matter once bids are in, probably in March. If approved, the project would be paid for with a combination of reserve funds and loans and would not affect taxes. More information about the proposal is posted on the Facilities Web Page.
Below are the PTA meeting dates:
Forest Glen PTA: Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the school
Churchill PTA: Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the school
Abraham Lincoln PTA: Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 9:15 a.m. Note that this meeting will be held in Meeting Room B at the Glen Ellyn Public Library, 400 Duane St.
Benjamin Franklin PTA: Thursday, Jan. 23 at 3:30 p.m. at the school
