Think Tank parent sessions in January; please come!

The District 41 Think Tank has been working for the last 18 months or so to take a fresh look at the elementary day with a view to being better able to give all children what they need when they need it, and to make sure that all children have a school experience that is rigorous, relevant and built on strong relationships. Many parents have attended our information sessions to learn about the Think Tank's work, to ask questions and to provide feedback; we have scheduled two more sessions in January:

Wednesday, Jan. 16, 1-2:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 23, 7-8:30 p.m.

Both sessions will be held at the Glen Ellyn Public Library, 400 Duane St., Glen Ellyn. The library is just west of the downtown and just south of the railroad tracks. The sessions will be in the library's meeting rooms, which are on your left as you enter the building.

NOTE: Babysitting will be available at both sessions. We regret that we cannot accommodate infants, or children who are not toilet trained. If you plan to take advantage of this free service, please email Julie Worthen with the number and ages of the children who will be with you no later than the Monday in advance of the session you are attending (use "babysitting" as the subject line of your email).

In addition, the elementary principals will be hosting informal gatherings at their schools for teachers and parents together to provide more times to learn more, ask questions and offer perspectives. Please keep an eye out for information from your principal.

Please direct your questions or comments to District 41 Director of Communications and Grants Julie Worthen at [email protected]. We ask that you do not reply directly to this email. Thank you!
