FOURTH GRADE AT RAWHIDE RANCH

The fourth grade students had a spectacular time at Rawhide Ranch in Bonsall this year.

They were able to learn animal science, ride and take care of horses, climb a rock wall, and play fun games all while experiencing life on a ranch.

Big thanks to Aude Morvan who organized such a memorable experience.

 Yeehaw!

Greetings!

As the sport season comes to an end this trimester, a large part of Écho will be dedicated this week to the talent and success of our students. They can be congratulated for their motivation, energy, progress and excellent team spirit. The trophies on display at the front desk or in the cabinet near the auditorium testify to their feats and the great leadership of their coaches: Diesa Seidel and Nicolas Margarot. Please read the following message from Ms. Seidel and let's all be proud of our young athletes!

Christian Jarlov,

Head of school

Chers parents,

SDFAS SPORT

Dear All,

As the academic school year comes to a close, we would like to recognize the student-athletes who have trained to compete as
Stingrays, all while balancing their bilingual studies.

Out of the 9 other middle schools competing in our sports league, SDFAS has truly made it's mark in athletics. The 2014-2015 sports league teams had one of the most impressive seasons to date. The school made the play-offs in ALL sports, and brought home numerous accolades to fill the school's trophy case!

First Place: Girls Cross-Country, Boys Volleyball, Girls Track & Field

Second Place: Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Girls Soccer

Third Place: Boys Soccer

BRAVO!

Beyond learning how to run, dribble, defend, or score points, sports serves as a vehicle for positive character development.

Participating in sports helps engender the development of emotional intelligence and maturity, as students learn to cooperate with, encourage, and empathize with their teammates. These attributes serve as pillars upon which our mission to foster respectable character traits are built.

Through sports, students develop critical life skills and build character through honoring your opponent, losing gracefully, and winning humbly.

Realizing that joy and heart goes beyond wins and losses... and being a champion is more than the score at the end of a game.

"1-2-3, WHO ARE WE?! S-D-F-A-S... WOOOO!"

GOOOO STINGRAYS!
