ANNUAL JOG-A-THON: SAVE THE DATE

FEBRUARY 6, 2015

INTERNATIONAL WEEK: CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

SEMAINE INTERNATIONALE: APPEL AUX VOLONTAIRES

This year, San Diego French-American School will organize International Week instead of the traditional Francophonie Week. During International Week, students will not only discover countries where French is spoken, but they will also be able to learn about many other countries of the world.

International week will kick off at the Forum on Thursday, March 19.

A committee has been set up to prepare the program of the week. One of the highlights will be an International Fair. We would like to invite parents of the school to present their country by holding a booth on a specific day during the week. The booths will be in the auditorium and would display pictures, maps, artifacts and food samples from the various countries presented.

Please contact Stéphanie in the office if you would like to volunteer. Simply give your name and the country you would like to present. The international committee will then send you details.

Reminder: PK0 PICTURES COMING UP

Individual and class photos of the PK0 classes will take place on Friday, January 23
(Géraldine's class) and Monday, January 26
(Tiep's class).

The photo session will start at 8:30 a.m., so please be on time!

Thank you.

LA GALETTE DES ROIS
THE KINGS' CAKE

Anne-Sophie's PK1 class is patiently waiting to taste the Galette des Rois that they made with the help of their teacher and Sarah, the class assistant. They were so proud to wear the crown they made to celebrate this annual tradition.

Multi-lingual. Multi-talented. World Ready.

We start the year with a new tagline! The third part, "World Ready," so accurately reflects the mission and vision of our school. We strive to offer a learning environment that prepares your child for a changing and complex world. While economists and politicians are forecasting a year filled with new risks, challenges and opportunities, educators must have a long-term vision, and prepare children for the unknown: a world probably quite different and more complex than the one we can imagine now! Our new tagline reflects this vision.

In 2015, SDFAS will continue the goal of offering your children many opportunities to acquire knowledge and to develop the skills that will prepare them for the world of tomorrow: multi-lingual and multi-talented!

In 2015, we will see a number of spectacular events and activities on the campus, and your favorite newsletter, the Écho, will keep you posted

Christian Jarlov,

Head of School

Multilingues.

REGISTRATION FOR CURRENT STUDENTS

RÉINSCRIPTIONS POR L'ANNÉE 2014-2015

This is the time of year when we begin to re-enroll our current students. At this time we are pleased to announce that our enrollment is at an all-time high of 373 and still growing! We are looking forward to filling up our classes early on and expect waiting lists at several levels.
By early next week, you should receive your enrollment agreements in the mail.

If you plan to enroll your children for next year, please return the enrollment agreement and deposit by the deadline of February 13, 2015.

Current student enrollments after February 13 are subject to a late enrollment fee of $250. Students may be wait listed in classes that have reached capacity. If you have any questions, please send an email to Virginia Berracasa, admissions@sdfrenchschool.org.
MULTI-LINGUAL. MULTI-TALENTED. WORLD READY!

MULTILINGUES. DES TALENTS MULTIPLES. PRÊTS POUR LE MONDE!

Multi-lingual. Multi-talented. World Ready!

When speaking about our students, that phrase sums it up quite succinctly, and that's why we've chosen it to describe our student body and how they are well-prepared to enter the next phase of their education.

During the last year, we've worked with educational and communication experts who recognize the value of our program and helped us craft this new 'tagline.' The last part WORLD READY, is the outcome of a very strong academic program and an education that promotes social and emotional qualities, such as multicultural awareness, open-mindedness and creativity.

We are excited about our dynamic new tagline, the bright new logo, and the modern, refreshed appearance. The new logo is already on our Facebook page and you will see it soon on our website and letterhead. Gradually our new look will appear in our advertisements, brochures, banners, and so on. Cheers to a fresh new start to 2015!
