News and updates from London House on
breathtaking Seven Mile Beach
in the Cayman Islands

Fall 2012
Greetings!

Greetings!

In previous issues, we've taken you underwater, sent you shopping, relaxed you in our signature hammock hut, and even helped some of you get married. This time, we're going to plunge you into darkness! Not the scary kind...we're going to tell you about some of the exciting things there are to do in the Caymans after the sun sets. There's the nightlife for grownups who want to party, but did you know there's also lots of kid-friendly and nature-lover fun too? After a day of relaxing on London House's private sugar beach overlooking the pristine blue Caribbean, think about venturing out.

Oh, and by the way, we were not damaged in any way by Hurricane Sandy. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to anyone reading this who has been affected.

London House Cayman turtle hatchlings

When wild green turtles hatched on the London House beach and got a bit confused, guests Marie and Mark Rode of Lafayette, Colorado, were only too happy to help out with the rescue. Find out how they cared for some of the Cayman's newest denizens.

Golfing in the Cayman Islands

Cayman's only championship 18-hole course open to the public, which was struggling financially for a time, will not only remain open, but is getting a major cash injection to improve the facilities. Real estate developer Dart, which also owns Camana Bay, has invested in the property. Planned improvements include renovating the clubhouse, bathroom and locker room facilities and bar area, improved cart paths and landscaping, and renovating the bunkers.

In September, this just-hatched wild green turtle was captured on camera heading to the ocean from the London House beach. You can see the tracks made by another turtle just below it.
