Do you want to learn how to improve energy efficiency in homes and help combat climate change right here in Arlington?
Then join the award-winning Arlington Energy Masters program, which promotes a more energy efficient and sustainable community by engaging professionally trained volunteers in energy efficiency, weatherization, and water conservation techniques, and in delivering community education and outreach programs.
Once trained, volunteers:
- Do hands-on improvements to increase energy and water efficiency in affordable housing apartments
- Provide energy and water conservation education to residents and their families to encourage behavior change for sustained impact
- Deliver educational programs to community groups and in schools
- Conduct individual education sessions with residents of affordable housing units who are struggling to manage utility costs
During the last year, Energy Masters volunteers helped to improve the comfort of the homes of 147 families living in affordable housing units in Arlington. You, too, can help make a difference, and have a positive impact on the environment while you're at it.
