Greetings!,

On Thursday, June 19th thousands of area residents will come together to create solutions to our community's most pressing challenges by participating in  Do More 24.

Powered by United Way of the National Capital Area, this innovative, 24-hour online fundraiser will raise much-needed funding for nonprofit organizations like ACE. For Do More 24 to succeed, we need your help with five things:

  1. Mark June 19th on your calendar with a reminder to donate.
  2. Bookmark ACE's Giving Link.
  3. Stay up-to-date by following ACE on Facebook and on Twitter at @ArlEnvironment. Please use the #domore24 hashtag to keep the conversation going.
  4. Spread the word!
  5. Donate on June 19th (or donate today!). By donating on June 19th, you can help us to win additional cash prizes for most donors, most dollars raised and other categories.

Over the past year, your donations have enabled us to:

  • Deliver 81 fun and interactive environmental education and energy efficiency programs to more than 1,400 students in Arlington schools;
  • Remove more than 240 bags of trash, debris, and recyclable material from our parks and streams;
  • Improve our tree canopy by planting 240 new trees throughout the County;
  • Remove more than seven truckloads of invasive plants from local parks;
  • Improve the energy efficiency and water conservation for 157 families living in affordable housing buildings;
  • Mobilize 580 volunteers who performed more than 4,000 hours of volunteer service throughout the community; and
  • Organize 66 exhibitors to provide practical information about making our lifestyles more sustainable as part of our Green Living Expo.
Please help us to continue this important work. Forward this email to your family and friends with a personal note explaining why you believe in our work, and why they should donate on June 19th.

We are grateful for your support. Thank you for helping us to Do More to help our community.

All the best,
Elenor Hodges
