March 2016
It's time to drop everything and travel
IN OUR OPINION, ANY OPPORTUNITY TO TRAVEL IS WORTH TAKING
- especially if you can press pause on your work and life commitments for a while.

Revel at Latin America's natural beauty, discover the grandeur of the Arctic, soak up European charm, roam the wild African plains - whatever your loftiest travel dream is, you can do it!

Just pick the place, and leave the rest up to us.

ELEPHANT EXPERIENCE in BOTSWANA
MORULA, THE ORPHAN ELEPHANT SLOBBERED ALL OVER MY T-SHIRT, a badge of honour I wore all afternoon!

Orphaned elephants Jabu, Thembi and Morula were adopted by Doug and Sandi Groves founders of the Living with Elephants Foundation, in the 1990s.

Some lucky travellers have the extraordinary and unique opportunity to take a leisurely paced walk in the Okavango Delta with a trio of semi-habituated elephants.

"Seeing the wilds of Africa through the eyes of an elephant is an uplifting experience, and one that, given the opportunity, shouldn't be missed!"

The month of May is a superb safari season, and is the ideal time for travel to Southern Africa.

South Africa is in its dry season in May, with scarse rains compelling the animals to come out and congregate around waterholes in the game reserves. May is also considered low season for tourism, so you'll see less visitors and get betters rates.

Travel to Botswana in May to catch the arrival of the flood waters into the Okavango Delta, a phenomenon that attracts tons of wildlife and creates excellent game viewing opportunities around the waterholes.

Zimbabwe is another favorite in May, with the rainy season having stopped and ushered in a climate comparable to a temperate autumn in North America.

The same can be said for Namibia, which still retains enough water from the seasonal rains to keep the landscape green and the airborne dust to a minimum - great for the photographers in your group.

Taking your Children on Safari? Yes, you can!

At TravelBoecker Adventures, we are keen to share our own child-friendly wilderness experience with you and your entire family, so that everyone who has visited Africa leaves exhilarated and impassioned.

Thanks to its colourful array of animals, birds, trees, flowers and endlessly changing ethnic groups, Africa offers the ideal venue for a family holiday.

Testimonial:

"Our family just returned from the most amazing two week vacation to Botswana, organized expertly by Christine Boecker. This was no mean feat, given that our group consisted of 10 people, ranging in age from 12 to 83 and who live in three different countries and on 2 continents!
We all had an amazing time at the lodges she selected and were able to enjoy Botswana's unique landscapes, animals and local culture.
The best part was that we could totally relax and enjoy each others company, without having to worry about logistics. Thanks for a once-in-a-lifetime trip!"

Effective immediately visa fees children under 16 will be scrapped indefinitely. And National Park fees have been reduced by a third, making Kenya a great destination for family travel this year.
